Alright, people, let’s take a look under the hood of life, shall we? See that chrome, roaring beast, revving up like Grease Lightening? That’s Lust, the driving force behind basic human behavior. If you think for a second that you’re immune to its irresistible pull, think again. Lust makes everybody’s world go 'round even faster than money because money is a byproduct of lust, not vice
versa.
In a recent survey conducted by high-net-worth experts, Hannah Shaw Grove and Russ Alan Prince, 84% of wealthy women and 63% of wealthy men honestly declared that lots of money equals oodles of earth-shattering, banshee-wild sex. High-end hookers aside, personal wealth easily translates into expensive cars, private jets, extravagant gifts, luxurious getaways, and plenty juicy perks that can make a lover eager to, um, perform. Unsurprisingly, the majority of the filthy rich also admit to frequent extramarital affairs (73% of women and 53% of men—obviously, most rich men are not just cheaters, they’re also liars). In light of such overwhelming results, ambition and professional success appear to be (especially for men) means to amplify one’s own sex appeal. But money is not the only aphrodisiac of its kind, one more ingredient can generate lust and propel one’s sex life into the stratosphere of highly intense libidinous pleasure: Power, which, like money, is responsible for a slew of unlikely matches between beauties and beasts, such as Jacqueline Kennedy & Aristotle Onassis, Melania Knaus & Donald Trump, Carla Bruni & Nicolas Sarkozy.
Some of us do, like the rock stars and movie stars who admittedly get into show biz to get chicks, or those nerds who climb to the top of the corporate ladder in hopes of landing on top of a stack of models. But some of us are not fully alert to how promotions and raises empower us sexually. And maybe that’s a good thing because should we all become entirely aware of the Money-Power-Sex axis of Lust, the average workplace would be one horny, overcrowded battlefield without the slightest respite.
